The Foundations in Occupational Health and Safety Mozambique Short Course
has been developed as a first of its kind in Mozambique between Eduardo Chimela, Labour Market Analyst (INEFP) Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security Republic of Mozambique and market research firm AIE (Pty) Ltd.

The short course serves as an introduction to OHS in the workplace, this module provides an overview of the field of Occupational Health & Safety and discusses how health and safety relate to an organization's overall management system the module will also touch on OHS legislative regulations pertaining to Mozambique.

Eduardo Chimela, Labour Market Analyst – Mozambique

Eduardo Chimela, Labour Market Analyst – Mozambique, Representative of the Minister Labour on the Board of Directors of the National Institute for Social Security. Bcom Economics and Post Grad Strategic Management.

Eduardo Chimela held posts at Ministerial level as Director General and Director for Studies and Cooperation at the National Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (INEFP) Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security Republic of Mozambique.

Eduardo Chimela spearheaded amongst others Mozambique’s Strategic employment policies including:
- internship regulation
- the labour market observatory unit
- the national skills qualification framework for artisans
- the drafting of the SADC Employment Protocol signed by the Heads of State and Government in Vic Falls, Zimbabwe - August 2014
- the Mozambique Decent Work Country Programme - 2011

Eduardo Chimela was also responsible for the management of pensions and Mozambican mineworkers' benefits in South Africa for over 10 years.
